Summer Mission Trip
DUNMORE, WEST VIRGINIA
What will we do? Our team will find itself in a paradox of sorts. We will be in one of the most beautiful places you can imagine…tucked deep into the Monongahela National Forest. But at the same time, some of our country’s poorest people live within these mountains. Many of them need help, and there is often no one who has the time or resources to help these people get back on their feet. Our team will travel there to do just that. Proverbs 14:31 says: Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him. We want to honor our Father in Heaven with our love and care for the needy…after all – that is exactly what God has done with us through His Son.
For what outcome? Our team will grow into a unit that knows how to work together. Team members will experience the true joy of serving. Over the seven days of our trip…students will make strides in their personal walk with God and learn how to be a leader for Christ. Our team will come back ready to love people and lead people for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
Price per person $525.00. This cost covers all meals, transportation, a roof over our heads, and will also go towards tools and equipment.
Dates: 6/12/10 to 6/19/10…Saturday to Saturday.
How do I find out more? There will be an informational meeting held on January 10th at 5pm at the block. All Parents and students are welcome to attend.
